Organization Modeling

An important task of a business process management system is the coordination of work among the employees of an organization or company . To achieve this, the system is provided with information on the organizational structure in which the business process will be implemented.
The level of abstraction in organizational modeling is shown in the figure below. As in the process of modeling and data modeling , the meta-model level provides a means of expressing models, which in this case refers to organizational models . Concepts at this level include situations , roles , teams , and relationships between positions such as supervisor. At Organizational modeling , there are some formal rules for how to express organizational structures , as well as symbols for expressing them.

The general principle behind organizational modeling is resources .
Resources is an institution that can do the work for the organization. The general concept of human resources and other resources, such as trucks, warehouses, and other equipment that a company needs to achieve its goals.

People are part of a business organization. People in this organization work to achieve the company's business goals . Each person typically occupies some of the positions, duties, and privileges that one brings with one's position (not one's personality). This allows filling positions to fit the organizational layout . In addition, the company can better cope with personnel changes. Organizational units constantly group people based on their positions.
 Organizational teams or project teams are specific organizational units without a permanent nature. Also, groups are organizational units with a set of positions.
The relationship between the organizational structure of the company and business processes, Done by work items. Work items represent examples of activities performed, and work items are accompanied by knowledge staff to facilitate selection . In particular, when the business process management system is decisive when a specific activity instance enters the ready state, here a work item is suggested to a set of knowledge employees . Each work item is associated with exactly one instance of activity.
