Process modeling

Business process modeling is done in a chain to lead to value creation. In this way, in each model, value is added to the final product.

Process models

On this page, a simple process meta model is introduced. The focus of this section is on providing a meta-model that can be used to represent the core components of each process meta-model . Any attempt to model the process begins with identifying the key concepts that need to be articulated. In metamodeling , the concepts that are presented are models.
The following models are known as the main concepts in
the process meta model :
1. Process model : A
process model presents a set of processes with a similar structure. Process models have two levels of hierarchy, so each process model includes a set of activity models. Each process model Consists of nodes and immediate edges.
A. Edge Edge : Straight edges are used to express relationships between nodes in a
process model .
B - node, Node : node in
a process model can be an activity model, a model event, or is the goal. These concepts are stated below.

Activity
modelsThe activity model describes the units of work performed in a business process. Each activity model can appear more than once in a
process model . No activity model can appear indifferent process models . The node of the activity model does not play a role as dividing or joining the nodes. For example, each activity model has exactly one input edge and exactly one output edge.
2- Event model : Event models are state events related to a business process. Examples of process instances begin and end with events, so
process models begin and end with event models.

Gateway Model Gateway Models :
gates to control flow structures used, such as sequencing, split and join nodes.
Gates are used in the process sequence to show the divergence and convergence of the process flow through decision making.

Types of gates

Exclusive data-based gateway : Indicates that one of two paths must be followed.

Exclusive data-based gatewayData-based exclusive gateway

Event-based proprietary gateway : Same as the first case, except that the output of the selected path is usually an event.

Gate included : means at least one of several routes must be done (all routes can be done).

The gate is included  Inclusive gateway

Parallel gate : has the same (and logical) meaning that both paths must be done.

Parallel gateway

Complex gate : Used for complex flows.

Each process model contains elements at the model level. For example, the activity model. Process examples consist of an activity instance example. Surface and surface model not only for work but also for the emergence and maintenance gates Hold out. In process model rules , the model starts from an event. Because events can be defined by unique individuals, sample events are also called events ."
Control flow in
process models Shown by the gate model. Like activities and events, gates in the process model are represented by the gate model. This explicit representation allows us to increase our focus on gate items for example trends. It is useful to note that each gate model can be used multiple times in a given process instance. For example, consider it part of a circle. Different events from a given gateway can have different properties. For example, as you can see in the figure, the gate can select branch 1 in one instance, while it can use branch 2 in the next iteration. If there are different gate instances for a given gate model in the context of the given process model, this situation can be presented correctly. In the example discussed, the sample has selected the first gate of branch 1 and the second of branch 2.
The next step in modeling is to identify and formalize the relationships between these concepts.

Process models 1

Species markup modeling business :
• nodes event model is shown by the circle. The final event model is represented by a thick circle.
• The activity model is shown by a rectangle with rounded edges.
• The gate model is indicated by a rhombus.
• The edges are indicated by the edges between the nodes.
In this example, an order has been received, which will now need to be reviewed. When this event occurs, the order needs to be analyzed, as shown by the order analysis activity model and the connection node of the N1 event node to the order analysis. After order analysis, the gateway node is used to decide whether simple review or advanced review is required.

Process models 2

When the check activity is selected and completed, the N6 gateway model is activated and the process is completed with the N7 final event model.
